Northwestern Mutual Wins Honor for Excellence in Training and Leadership Development
Training Magazine’s Top 125 Features Companies that Excel at Training

MILWAUKEE, WI, February 10, 2009 — Training magazine is naming Northwestern Mutual to its 2009 “Training Top 125” list in its February edition, recognizing the financial security company’s excellence in training and leadership development.  The company ranks 23rd overall and first in its industry.

The annual survey of employer-sponsored training and leadership development programs is based on many factors including financial commitment, training programs offered, workplace surveys and retention.

Training magazine recognizes what we’ve known all along: Northwestern Mutual is a great place to launch and grow a career,” said Pency Byhardt, Northwestern Mutual’s vice president of field development.  “Training is paramount at Northwestern Mutual, helping to provide our financial representatives with the expert guidance and confidence clients depend upon.  Through training that begins on day one, we work to prepare representatives to offer Northwestern Mutual’s holistic approach to financial security solutions.”

Representatives from Northwestern Mutual accepted the award at the Training 2009 Conference & Expo in Atlanta, GA, on February 9.  The Training honor is one of many the company has earned for its commitment to career development.
